Action Alert!: Ohio Constitutional Carry Bill Must Move Forward Before Summer Recess!

YOU have the chance to get Constitutional Carry to the next step before the Ohio legislature takes its summer recess!

From Ohio Gunowners:

After the budget votes in Columbus on yesterday (Wednesday), things didn’t look good for getting Constitutional Carry (H.B. 201) out of committee before summer break.

But that all changed a few moments ago.

You see, the House Federalism Committee Chair Kristina Roegner announced that she’ll be holding committee this Thursday, July 6!

But I’m afraid this is the last opportunity we’re going to have to push H.B. 201 out of Committee before the summer break.

We’ve come a long way in the past few months, and we cannot afford to let up now when we’re facing a great opportunity like this!

That’s why I’m asking every one of you, once again, to contact every single member of the Federalism Committee and demand they pass H.B. 201 out of committee and send it to the full House!

Just like every other state that has passed Constitutional Carry, H.B. 201 simply says that anyone not prohibited under current Federal law isn’t required to beg permission to exercise their 2nd Amendment Rights.

Still want to get a permit? We’ve got that covered too, as the current CHL system is left intact for those who want one for purposes of reciprocity.

But we’re getting word that there may be pushback within the committee, and that’s why you need to contact the members right away!

It simply makes no sense that Ohio must be held back in the dark ages of onerous gun laws when 14 states now have few restrictions on you exercising your 2nd Amendment Rights!

How to help? OG Director Chris Dorr suggests getting a hold of all of the committee members to 071816headermake it heard that we want Ohio HB 201 out onto the floor for a full vote when they return in the fall. Let’s do it.

When you get in touch with them, tell them a couple of things.

First, tell them that the language in H.B. 201 as written has worked well in the 12 states that have already passed Constitutional Carry.

Tell them that you want them to vote Constitutional Carry OUT of the Federalism Committee BEFORE summer break.

Finally, tell them that you’ll be watching the results of next Thursday’s committee meeting closely!

This may be our last chance for several weeks to get H.B. 201 out of the Federalism Committee – call now!
